Woodbury House Care Home, part of the Belmont Healthcare group, has announced a new respite care initiative designed to make short-term care more accessible for individuals and families seeking additional support.

The new limited-time offer allows self-funding residents and their families to access three weeks of respite care for the price of two, or six weeks for the price of four, providing significant value for those recovering from illness, considering long-term care options, or allowing family carers to rest and recharge.

Located in the peaceful village of Farley Hill near Reading, Woodbury House specialises in providing respite care in a welcoming, homely environment. Set across three floors, the home features spacious communal lounges and dining areas, landscaped gardens, and a summer house, creating a calm and comfortable setting where residents can relax and socialise.

The home’s care philosophy focuses on person-centred support, with Belmont Healthcare emphasising dignity, independence and tailored care throughout every resident’s journey. Residents benefit from 24-hour professional support alongside a varied programme of activities designed to encourage wellbeing, social connection and meaningful engagement.

Patrick Gonsaro, General Manager at Woodbury House, said: “Respite care plays an incredibly important role for many families and carers, whether someone needs support after a hospital stay, temporary care while a loved one takes a break, or simply the opportunity to experience life in a care home before making a longer-term decision. At Woodbury House, we pride ourselves on creating a warm, supportive and reassuring environment where residents feel truly at home. This offer allows more people to access that support when they need it most.”
