Meet our leadership team

Adam Hutchison, Managing Director

Adam Hutchison

Adam Hutchison is our Managing Director, having led the business since 2013 and has built Belmont Healthcare into a multi-faceted care group. His core responsibilities encompass strategic leadership, operational oversight, and responsibility for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care while maintaining financial sustainability and regulatory compliance. He brings a fresh entrepreneurial perspective to healthcare, combining his business acumen with a genuine passion for transforming social care.

Adam is recognised as an innovator in the sector, having received national recognition in 2019 for his outstanding contribution to social care. He serves as a trustee of the Care Workers Charity and is a published author of “Risk v Reward: The employee-employer conundrum” (2018). His collaborative leadership style emphasises supporting and developing teams, creating what he describes as a “supportive family environment” that prioritises both employee wellbeing and quality care delivery.

Outside of work, Adam enjoys spending time with his family and running around after his daughter. He is also a season ticket holder at Aston Villa and can often be found on the golf course or at the gym.

What Adam loves about working in care:

“What drives me every single day is witnessing the extraordinary care team and care environments we’ve created across our homes. At Belmont Healthcare, we don’t just provide care services – we are here to champion every individual’s unique care journey and support their families and communities we are connected to.”

Claire Latreille, Director of Care

Claire LatrielleAs our Director of Care, Claire’s role includes supporting and developing our care teams and home managers to continuously improve and develop the care we provide, as well as listening to our residents and their families to develop our care environments and services. She is also responsible for supporting our strategy, working closely with Adam, Joanne and Deborah.

Claire started her care career working in occupational therapy, then moved over to social work as a practitioner before becoming a registered manager for various homes. Over the last 20 years, Claire has been an operations manager for a range of large operators and has also been a care mapper for Bradford University. Before joining Belmont Healthcare, she ran her own consultancy business, providing coaching, quality patient care support, advice on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and a range of other services for the care sector.

Outside of work, Claire loves taking walks in the local forests near where she lives, as well as baking with a glass of red wine.

What Claire loves about working in care:

Seeing the wow moments, however small they are, in someone’s day inspires and drives me. Talking to people who have lived incredible lives, and working with such amazing and caring people who all have the shared goal of improving the lives and supporting the entire care journey is a privilege.”

Joanne Fellows, Finance Director

Joanne Fellows

Joanne is our Finance Director, responsible for driving our financial strategy and ensuring compliance with various funding channels and statutory accounting regulations. This includes working with external and internal stakeholders, supporting the provision, analysis and monitoring of information, and making recommendations on how we can continue to grow and invest in our care environments and the quality of care we provide.

Jo has worked in finance since leaving school at 17 and became AAT and CIMA qualified very early on in her career.  Over the years, she has worked for a variety of organisations, including small and multinational manufacturing businesses, in the FMCG sector, and a medical start-up. Jo has been working within the care sector since 2019 and has experience working in social and residential care and educational provision for neurodivergent children and young adults.

When she isn’t working, Jo likes to run, spend time in her garden, and has two teenage children who keep her very busy.

What Joanne loves about working in care:

“I’m incredibly proud to work for an organisation where you can see a noticeable improvement to people’s lives, be it the residents that come in to receive our care, or the reassurance that their family members have that their loved ones are in a safe, caring, and comfortable environment.  For me, working in care is an incredibly rewarding sector to be part of.”

Deborah de Beer, Quality Manager

Deborah de Beer

Deborah is our Quality Manager and is responsible for overseeing a range of functions, including audits of homes, quality Performance of the home, management of auxiliary services, and providing occupancy support. She is also our infection prevention and control lead, CQC engagement lead, and inspection support lead.

Before she joined the team at Belmont Healthcare, Deborah worked with children with learning disabilities in mainstream primary schools. She then made a career change and moved into the care sector, and has worked in homecare as a care assistant, team leader, unit manager, and has managed a nursing home for people living with distressed behaviours. Since 2014, Deborah has worked in senior operational roles and during that time has overseen as many as 12 homes (nursing & residential).

In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, catching up with friends, and spending time with her husband and daughter and their dogs.

What Deborah loves about working in care:

“For me, it’s all about understanding people’s needs, providing exceptional care and support, and being able to encourage people, as much as possible, to receive the care that they want, fulfilling their wishes, and being that person to make them smile. Life is for living, so it’s about grasping every opportunity to make others feel valued, let them know they do matter, and that their wishes are important.”
