Care Home Chef

Wombwell Hall is actively seeking an experienced and passionate Care Home Chef to join our dedicated team. This key role involves providing nutritious and enjoyable meals to our residents, tailored to their individual dietary needs. As a Care Home Chef, you will be responsible for managing kitchen supplies, creating a diverse menu, and ensuring all health and safety standards are meticulously maintained in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with colleagues and management to meet the dietary needs of our residents.
• Manage the ordering process for kitchen supplies, maintaining accurate records of deliveries.
• Ensure high standards of health and safety are consistently met within the kitchen.
• Design and implement a rotating menu that caters to the dietary needs and preferences of all residents.
• Manage kitchen staff rota, ensuring all shifts are appropriately staffed.
• Oversee the budget for the kitchen department.
• Prepare a range of nutritious and enjoyable meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents.

‍Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience in a Chef role.
• Relevant qualification in food preparation and cooking.
• Strong organisational and leadership skills.
• Excellent team management abilities.
