Belmont @ Home Midlands recently celebrated an epic year of fundraising alongside Birmingham Women's and Children Hospital which helped the hospital achieve its ambitious £1.5 million target for its iMRI Appeal, aimed at bringing an intraoperative MRI scanner to the facility.

Thanks to the dedicated fundraising efforts of companies and individuals like Belmont @ Home the hospital will now be able to bring this state-of-the-art technology to patients, enhancing brain surgery procedures significantly.

Belmont @ Home Midlands demonstrated their commitment to supporting the hospital by organising their annual golf day, which proved to be a remarkable success, raising an impressive£2500 for the charity. This contribution added to the ongoing efforts to improve facilities and services at the hospital.

The company also sponsored the Renal Ward playing a pivotal role in transforming the hospital's wards into festive sanctuaries, providing a cheerful atmosphere for patients and their families during a challenging time of the year.

In a statement released by the hospital, they expressed their immense appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of the appeal, including dedicated Change makers and supporters who rallied behind the cause. The iMRI scanner is poised to revolutionise surgery for brain tumour and epilepsy patients, providing surgeons with real-time information critical for precise interventions.

Currently, work is underway on a state-of-the-art elective care hub at the hospital, where the new theatre and iMRI will be housed. The completion of the building and the integration of the iMRI into clinical practice are anticipated in spring 2025, marking a significant step forward in enhancing patient care and treatment outcomes at Birmingham Women’s and Children Hospital.

Belmont @ Home Midlands reflects on its fundraising during 2023: “We are humbled and immensely proud to have been part of this incredible journey alongside Birmingham Women's and Children Hospital. Witnessing the community come together to achieve such a monumental fundraising goal fills us with gratitude and reaffirms our belief in the power of unity and compassion. Together, we've made a tangible difference in the lives of patients and families, and that's a feeling beyond words."
