Bringing childhood memories of the seaside to life, Haslington Lodge Care Home brought the beach into the home for a little bit of reminiscence fun.
Getting creative with activities, Haslington Lodge Activities Coordinator Tracey felt so inspired by the many seaside trip memories discussed that she brought sand, buckets and spades, and even a mini slot machines to create a seaside town feeling for everyone to enjoy.
Residents enjoyed traditional games, such as a bean bag target game, making sandcastles, and even ate a traditional snack associated with the amusement arcades and fairground attractions, the hotdog.
The best bit was the conversations and laughter generated. So much fun.
