The Kent Care Awards, an annual event that celebrates the best in the care sector, witnessed a spectacular evening of recognition and accolades. Among the standout winners were Tracey Crittenden at Haslington Lodge Care Home and Chris Saunders from Wombwell Hall Care Home.

Tracey Crittenden, the dedicated activities coordinator at Haslington Lodge Care Home, clinched the esteemed Residential Champion Winner title. Known for her innovative and engaging activities that have brought joy and purpose to the residents, Tracey's win was a testament to her commitment and passion for her role. Her initiatives have not only enhanced the quality of life for the residents but have also fostered a vibrant community spirit within the care home.

Upon receiving her award, Tracey remarked,"It's an incredible honour to be recognised, but the real reward is seeing the smiles and happiness from residents every day." 

Wombwell Hall Care Home also had reason to celebrate, with Chris Saunders, their maintenance manager, being awarded the Ancillary Frontline Winner. Chris's dedication to ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of the residents through his meticulous maintenance work has been unparalleled. His proactive approach and attention to detail have made Wombwell Hall a safe haven for its residents.

A visibly moved Chris said, "It's not just about fixing things; it's about creating a home. I'm grateful for this recognition, and I share it with the entire Wombwell Hall family."
