Rudolph the reindeer receives recycling makeover

During a reduce, reuse, recycle project Edendale Lodge Care Home have transformed Rudolph the Reindeer in to a fun activity.

Now completely unrecognisable as Ollie the Octopus, this lovely character has become a key part of the care home’s armchair exercise class, hoop throwing.

Antlers have become tentacles in this incredibly imaginative up-cycling project providing a challenge for anyone keen to test their aim and throwing skills.

Zoe Kendall, Manager at Edendale Lodge Care Home says: “What a lot of fun we had throwing hoops at Ollie, made all the better by knowing that in a previous life it was Rudolph. Such ingenuity and of course a fantastic way to use an unwanted Christmas decoration.”
