How we use technology to support every resident’s care journey

Our approach to technology is centred on improving efficiency, streamlining operations, and reducing administrative tasks, enabling our care teams to spend more quality time with residents. To support this, we have invested in a range of innovative platforms, tools, and systems, including:

  • We utilise technology to digitise all paperwork and processes, freeing up our care teams to focus more time on an individual resident’s care needs, supporting our residents and their families.
  • Every member of our care team has a singular device that has access to everything they need, including details of who is on duty, all individual residents’ care needs and care plans, voice recording capability to capture and record key information on care activities, and the capability to capture medical information such as fluid and food intake and resident medical records.
  • Our care teams have access to the National Activity Providers Association’s (NAPA) lifestyle portal that is used by carers to select and plan a variety of activities that promote engagement and well-being.
  • Residents across our homes have access to the internet and entertainment through smart TVs, along with the ability to use devices to make video calls (e.g. FaceTime).

Next2IT: How data and analytics help us provide exceptional care

Working with Next2IT, we’ve developed an innovative data platform that gives our care teams real-time insights to support more proactive, personalised care. Families also have secure access to key information, providing greater visibility and reassurance about their loved one’s care while helping us deliver the highest standards across every home.

Person-Centred Software: digital systems to manage our data

We have partnered with Person Centred Software to transition our business from traditional paper-based care records to digital records to enable our teams to operate more efficiently and effectively. Our care teams utilise their platform to manage all resident medical and health records. 

Wippet: Smarter procurement that supports better care

We’ve partnered with Wippet to streamline procurement across our care homes. As part of our wider digital transformation strategy, the partnership improves operational efficiency, supports more sustainable purchasing, and enables our teams to spend more time focused on delivering exceptional care.

Florence: Smarter workforce management

Florence is a leading workforce management platform designed specifically for the social care sector. Through our partnership, Florence helps us to manage HR, staff records, rostering, compliance, and workforce planning in one centralised system.

Borderless: Finding exceptional people to deliver outstanding care

Recruiting compassionate, talented people is fundamental to the care we provide. Through our partnership with Borderless, a specialist immigration and workforce technology platform, we can attract and support skilled care professionals from around the world. Borderless helps us manage visa sponsorship, Home Office compliance, recruitment, and sponsor licence requirements, enabling us to build a strong, compliant workforce dedicated to delivering outstanding care.

NexGen: reliable technology that keeps our teams connected

We partner with NexGen IT to provide the technology and support our teams rely on every day. From deploying Microsoft solutions that enable seamless collaboration to delivering responsive IT support across all our care homes, NexGen helps ensure our people stay connected, productive, and focused on providing exceptional care to our residents.
