Welcoming Simon Porter as our new Head of Commercial

Belmont Healthcare has appointed Simon Porter as head of commercial as the residential care group continues to invest in growth and strengthen its commitment to person-centred care.

Simon brings extensive experience across the residential care sector, spanning a range of commercial leadership, business development and operational roles. Before joining Belmont Healthcare, Simon was head of business development at Optima Care and Kinly Care, commercial director at Runwood Homes and held regional director positions with Barchester Healthcare and Care UK.

Simon will work closely with Belmont Healthcare’s leadership and operational teams to support sustainable growth across the group, focusing on occupancy development, commercial strategy, market positioning, and strengthening referral pathways. He will also support strategic partnerships with commissioners, healthcare professionals and local communities, ensuring the group’s commercial approach complements both business performance and the delivery of exceptional person-centred care.

The appointment reflects Belmont’s focus on sustainable growth and continued investment in high-quality person-centred residential care and community engagement.

The news follows Belmont’s announcement in September that it has expanded into a new region with the acquisition of six care homes in Lincolnshire from The Orders of St John Care Trust, marking a further step in the group’s continued growth.
