Belmont Healthcare Celebrates Five KiCA Award Nominations

We are proud to be heading to the KiCA Kent Care Awards 2026 with five fantastic nominations recognising individuals and teams from across the organisation. 

The awards celebrate the people working across Kent’s care sector and provide an opportunity to recognise the commitment, skill and hard work that goes into delivering great care every day. 

This year, Belmont Healthcare will be represented across five award categories: 

• Gina Stevenson-Ball – Dementia Champion 
• Joss – Ancillary Back Office Award 
• Rachel Lucas – Residential Registered Manager (OPPD) Award 
• Richard Lawson – Recruit, Retain and Reward Award 
• Wombwell Hall Team – Residential Team of the Year  

The nominations recognise a range of roles across Belmont Healthcare, from those providing leadership and specialist dementia support to the people working behind the scenes to support residents, colleagues and the day-to-day running of our homes. 

It is also a particularly proud moment for Wombwell Hall, with both the wider team and Richard Lawson receiving recognition. Being shortlisted for Residential Team of the Year reflects the collective contribution of colleagues across the home and the work that goes into creating a welcoming and supportive environment for residents. 

Seeing five nominations across different areas of care is a fantastic reflection of the people behind our homes. 

Every role within a care home plays its part. Whether providing direct care, supporting colleagues, managing a home or helping ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes, it takes a committed team to provide residents with the quality of care and support they deserve. 

The KiCA Kent Care Awards take place on Friday 11 September, when the Belmont Healthcare team will be there to support and celebrate all of this year’s finalists.
