Belmont Healthcare expands into a new region with the acquisition of six new homes
The move marks another significant milestone in Belmont Healthcare's continued growth and presence in the residential care sector.
Belmont Healthcare has announced the acquisition of six care homes across Lincolnshire from The Orders of St John Care Trust (OSJCT) – a not-for-profit charitable trust.
The move marks another significant milestone in Belmont Healthcare’s continued growth, strengthening its presence across the UK residential care sector and expanding its portfolio to 13 care homes. The acquisition includes Eresby Hall (Spilsby), Foxby Court (Gainsborough), Patchett Lodge (Holbeach), Skirbeck Court (Boston), Southfield House (Spalding), and The Poplars (Market Rasen).
The homes will now operate under the Belmont Healthcare brand, with no disruption to day-to-day care or operations during the transition.
The acquisition forms part of Belmont Healthcare’s long-term commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred residential care, while supporting sustainable and responsible national growth. As part of this strategy, the group continues to invest in care team development and training, innovation, operational excellence, and meaningful community engagement.
Belmont Healthcare was advised on the transaction by James Clamp of Freeths, who provided legal counsel. Funding support was provided by Omega Healthcare Investors, led by Tom Robinson, while Stephen Alexander delivered marketing and PR support. Lee Howard of Christie & Co acted as agent for the transaction.
Adam Hutchison, CEO and founder of Belmont Healthcare, commented:
“We are delighted to welcome these new homes across Lincolnshire to the Belmont family. From our earliest conversations with the team at OSJCT, it was clear that both organisations were strongly aligned and shared the same values and focus: delivering exceptional person-centred care, supporting care team development, and nurturing strong connections to local communities. The dedication and professionalism shown by the care teams across all homes at OSJCT are incredibly special, and we are excited about our plans to continue to support the teams in delivering the highest standards of residential care. The acquisition represents an important step in our national growth strategy, expanding our presence into new regions and strengthening Belmont Healthcare as a specialist residential care home operator with clear values that put our residents, their families, and our care teams first.”
Dan Hayes OBE, CEO at OSJCT, added:
“After many years of providing care in these homes, we believe that transferring ownership is the right decision to secure their long-term future and support their continued success. We are pleased to be transferring ownership to an organisation that shares our commitment to high-quality, person-centred care. Knowing the homes will be in the hands of people who understand what makes them so special is reassuring, and we are confident they will continue the high standards that are already in place and have shaped the homes over the years.”
