Wombwell Hall is looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our warm and professional care team. The role requires the supervision of Care Assistants, creating personalised care plans, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to support our residents in leading an independent life as much as possible. This role calls for strong organisational skills, keen attention to detail, empathy, understanding, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creation of personalised care plans and performing risk assessments.
  • Completing and monitoring medication administration record (MAR) sheets.
  • Recording and monitoring of daily care notes.
  • Supporting residents to attend appointments and partake in community activities.
  • Encouraging and promoting independence amongst our residents.
  • Administering medication and maintaining accurate records.
  • Providing nutritional support, including meal preparation.
  • Performing household duties to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment.
  • Assisting residents with personal care needs such as bathing, dressing, oral care, and toileting.
  • Assisting with mobility, employing aids such as hoists and standing aids as required.
  • Providing companionship to enhance the emotional well-being of our residents.
  • Safeguarding residents and ensuring a high standard of well-being.
  • Effectively communicating with colleagues, management, families of residents, and third-party professionals.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the health and social care sector or a relevant qualification.
  • Ability to lead by example and maintain a positive working environment.
  • Consideration and respect for the needs and wishes of individuals in our care.
  • A passion for supporting people to lead fulfilling lives.
  • Willingness to undergo training and development.
  • Excellent people skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
