Pottering around in the garden are the residents at Madeira Lodge care home as they turn their attention to ensuring their sunny terrace is abundant with summer blooms.
Selecting Geraniums for their beautiful colours and scents, everyone was on-hand to pot the bedding plants making sure they were carefully placed for added colour and Mediterranean vibes throughout the summer months.
Sarah Pennington, registered manager at Madeira Lodge says: “We don’ need an excuse to get outside into the garden but potting up these lovely flowers certainly helped.
“Many of our residents had their own gardens before they came to us which is why it’s so important we offer the ability to interact with our outside spaces in any way they wish. If sitting there and enjoying nature, or getting stuck in and tending to the plants, everyone is welcome to engage how they like.
“Potting up the flowers is a task we all enjoy, they bring cheer and plenty of enjoyment for the whole home.”
