Care home creates indoor snowball fun

When the residents at Haslington Lodge Care Home in Dartford, Kent, wanted to experience the thrill of snow, they simply made their own and experienced it indoors.

The quick thinking and creative ability of Activities Coordinator Tracey Crittenden inspired an artificial snowball making activity followed by a very wintery snowball fight.

Dressed in their finest winter woolies the fun followed with an alternative sit-down snowball fight that not only tested how quick the revelers reflexes were but created so much laughter it became hard for them to concentrate.

Activities Coordinator Tracey Crittenden says: “We just love the snow, there’s something really festive about it. We know we’re not going to see it this Christmas so we thought, let’s make our own. We had great fun making snow balls but even more fun playing with them during our very friendly snowball fight in the living room.”
