Christmas comes early to haslington lodge care home

Christmas has come early to Haslington Lodge Care Home in Greenhithe, all thanks to the thoughtful teachers and pupils at Craylands Primary School.

In what was a complete surprise, the care home received a bounty of hampers packed with thoughtful and useful gifts.

Ranging from Jigsaw puzzles, to books and magazines, colouring pens and pencils, to items of clothing such as socks, jumpers, even toiletries, and luxury chocolates, biscuits, and crackers. Every last detail had been thought of to make this festive season just that little bit special.

Sally Ann Briggs, Care Home Manager at Haslington Lodge Care Home says: “It felt like Christmas Day! The thought and support we have received from Craylands School is so touching. To know people are thinking about us and care about us, it’s amazing!

“We loved the cards and special messages inside but the best bit was the special Christmas carol concert filmed and sent to us featuring the lovely pupils singing for us. It was very special to watch and hear, for all of us.

“We’re now in the process of recording our own special message to send in return before the children break-up for Christmas, just to let them know how much their messages and gifts meant to us. It’s just lovely, we will never forget the sentiment, thank you.”
