The countdown to Christmas has begun at Madeira Lodge Care Home with a plethora of fun and festive activities.
Arts and crafts have played a huge part in enjoying the build-up to Christmas. Christmas Jumper Day on the 8th December provided a lot of inspiration as everyone coloured pictures of festive jumpers which were used to make a Christmas garland with some homemade fabric sweets.
Remember making snowflakes from a lot of folding and creative cutting? We did that to! Making everything from scratch, snowflakes, festive soldiers and snowmen, the star of the show was the homemade stable for the home’s knitted nativity scene.
Sarah Pennington Manager at Madeira Lodge Care Home says: “It’s such a joy to fully embrace Christmas by making decorations that will adorn our home. There’s such a sense of achievement in everything we have created. It’s such a lovely way to celebrate Christmas.”
