Embracing the spirit of Christmas and having fun all four care homes in The Belmont Healthcare Group took part in a Joke Book competition aiming for the top spot of funniest care home.
Staff and residents tried out their funniest jokes on each other before committing them to their hopeful winning entry of witty and amusing classics.
But only one care home could be victorious and that was Sandbanks Lodge Care Home, chosen by judges as the funniest joke book. And the prize! A karaoke machine, just tin time for the Sandbanks Lodge Christmas party!
Liz Tart, Care Home Manager at Sandbanks Lodge Care Home says: “ As you can imagine we had a lot of fun with this competition. It’s with thanks to our residents and their back catalogue of jokes that we won this. The bonus is our winning prize, the karaoke machine will add another fun dimension to our Christmas party, and we can’t wait to use it.”
