Flipping fun on shrove tuesday

Pancake Day at Belmont Healthcare was a load of flipping fun as residents and staff took to their frying pans to see who would be the best pancake tosser.

Across the company’s care homes in Kent and East Sussex, the pancakes were dressed in the toppings of choice. From lemon juice and sugar, syrup and jam, and chocolate spread, they were devoured during a Shrove Tuesday feast before lent.

Sarah Pennington, Manager at Madeira Lodge Care Home says: “What a load of fun we had. From testing our tossing skills, to indulging our taste buds with the very exciting sweet toppings on offer, it was a great day and a lot of fun for all of us.”
