Haslington lodge gets cqc good rating

Haslington Lodge Care Home has been rated as ‘Good’ by Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspectors during a recent inspection visit.

Rating the home as good in all of the five inspection categories, which are Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led, Haslington Lodge have been rated overall good, a big leap from overall inadequate, a rating they inherited when they took over the Care Home.

Belmont Healthcare took over the Care Home in 2019, then rated as requiring improvement and inadequate in many areas by the CQC.  Working hard to change everything that had come before the management and care team got to work to ensure the Care Home met with legal requirements and regulations associated with Section 60 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (the Act).

Clare Swan, Operations Director at Belmont Healthcare says: “We couldn't be more thrilled, well we're ecstatic actually. A lot of hard work has gone in to making this home a true Belmont Healthcare home. From the top down I’d like to thank the team for working with me to make this happen, it’s a fantastic result for the home and Belmont Healthcare.”

"An open culture was evident. We had good feedback from people and their relatives about the manager and staff and the support provided."
