Im a celebrity fun and games are good for a laugh

Adding a bit of jeopardy to the day, a game of All Hands in the style of ‘I’m a Celebrity Get me Out of Here’ provided residents with an exciting opportunity to play the guessing game.

As tradition has it every day objects were placed in boxes of discovery disguised by different materials such as cotton wool and tissue paper rather than the nastier surprises encountered on the hit TV show.

Sally Ann Briggs, Registered Manager at Haslington Lodge care home says: “With a particular focus on texture and scent it really was an activity to enliven the senses through essential oils and tactile objects. It was a really fun activity and also a creative way of helping our residents reminisce and bring forward a long lost memory generated through touch and smell.”
