Residents group offer hands of friendship

The Greenhithe Worcester Park Residents’ Group reach out to Haslington Lodge care home in the hope of bringing a ray a sunshine and community spirit into the home during lockdown.

Wishing to focus their efforts to help those in the community that are most in need, the residents’ group ask if ‘there is anything we could do to try and cheer up’ the home and its residents

In a letter sent to the care team at the Group explain they are half a dozen families wanting to ‘put out the hand of friendship’ offering to put together and deliver much needed and required essentials.

Adam Hutchison at Haslington Lodge says: “Knowing we are not alone and people are thinking of us has made our team quite emotional. We love what we do but throughout this period of lockdown it has been hard on all of us. To know the Worcester Park Residents’ Group are looking out for us is lovely to know, and to receive the bonus of the beautiful drawings from their children was the icing on the cake. We can’t thank them enough.”
