Care home residents to move to new luxury development

You may have seen the news item in the Kentish Express with its dramatic headline ‘Care home to close as flats agreed’

It is true that Sandbanks Care home will close but those that are nearest and dearest to us, those we care for and support, and their families have known this for some time.

Sandbanks Care Home has not been fit for purpose for the care we like to provide. The cramped old domestic property is simply not where we want those we care for and support to live out the remaining days of their lives.

This is why we invested 1.5 million in the complete overhaul of Sandbanks sister home Madeira Lodge, which is just down the road.

In a much better position, thankfully we have been able to develop the property, we now have a flagship care home dedicated to dementia and elderly care with all the mod-cons you would expect.

Due to officially open at the start of Autumn, the completely re-designed seafront care home will offer the latest facilities and technology to support existing Madeira Lodge and Sandbanks Lodge residents with dementia and related illnesses. The new holistic and enabling space will provide bespoke 24 hour care to support an exceptional quality of life.

We are looking forward to saying goodbye to the old, and we know everyone is very much looking forward to moving in and making the new and improved Madeira Lodge Care Home their home.
