We had a puzzling day

Marking what was National Puzzle Day on the 29th January, we challenged ourselves to completing a plethora of puzzles, and what an achievement it was!

Stimulating our brains is something we do every day through our activity programme. However it was especially good to be able to participate in a day dedicated to puzzles and feel the resulting sense of achievement at completing the tasks.

Sally Ann Briggs, Manager at Haslington Care Home says: “Our residents love to be able to take on the challenge of a good puzzle. Our active minds are always looking for the next opportunity but I think the most favoured puzzle of all was the good old-fashioned jigsaw. Just putting that final piece in was a real sense of achievement and accomplishment.”

Belmont Healthcare offers multiple forms of long, short, respite or day care for those in need, specialising in care of older person who lives with Dementia, and other life changing conditions such as Parkinson’s disease. Our homes are situated in delightful settings around the UK.
